First Wave

Tammy Foster graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002 with a Bachelors of Art in Psychology. She then went on to California State University, Sacramento and received her Masters in Counseling (2004). Tammy currently works for the Foster Care Agency of Sacramento and has her own consulting firm, providing counseling to adolescents and their families.

Corina Garcia graduated from California State University, Hayward (now East Bay) in 2002 with a Bachelors of Art in Sociology. In 2005, she received her Masters in Public Administration. Corina currently works at Making Waves Education Program as Operations Manager.

Ajani Jackson graduated from Xavier University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He then went to Tulane University and received his Masters in Public Health. Adjani is currently a third year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Rodney Johnson graduated from the University of Miami in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Business (with Honors). He currently works as a financial analyst for MV Transportation (West Coast Division).

Rebeca Rangel graduated from Stanford University in 2001 with a Bachelors of Art in Urban Studies (with Honors). In 2005, she received her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University. Rebeca works at Bank of the West’s headquarters in San Francisco as Community Affairs Liaison Officer.

Shawn Boykins graduated from Tufts University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Spanish.

Kea Everett graduated from Fisk University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Business.

Sadia Morgan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Art in Criminal Justice.

Hernan Orozco graduated from Occidental College in 2007 with a Bachelors of Art in Sociology.
